Our Printing Methods

Here at hivis.co.uk, adding logos and printing to hi visibility clothing is our life (sad but true)... honestly we just cant get enough. We have invested heavily in the lastest most modern screen printing, and embroidery machines so that we can add almost any logo to any garments to give you the best service and quality printed hi vis workwear available. Have a look at our Digitial Direct to garment (DTG) and screen print machine videos below. We left out the boring bits like, unpacking and treating the vests etc etc, but you get the idea !. We understand how important your printed  hi vis clothes and work shirts are to you that's why we've established ourselves as an ISO9001 quality assured company so printed vests, polo shirts, tee shirts or hoodie that leaves us is what we would want too ! (we said it was our life didnt we?).

Direct to Garment Printing (DTG)

This is a brand new state of the art most modern process of printing hi vis or clothing without the need for screen printing or set ups, as we take the design straight from your artwork , decent quality please... and print it to the clothing. This is a great method for T shirts that require high amounts of printed detail and no minimum quantities you can even have just one. It is not heat transfer vinyl or screen printing and not all garments are suitable for DTG printing, and the best results (and cheaper costs) are on white or light coloured shirts, but our website will have what products are available for this method. Remember what I said though, we are MAD about printing so if the DTG design isnt gonna be just right, we will let you know.

Screen Printed Tee Shirts & Hi vis

We have been screen printing Tee Shirts for over 25 years and know a thing or two. Screen printing is one of those jobs where the more you do the cheaper it becomes, you must have at least 25 garments to even consider screen printing your hi vis vests,tee shirts or hoodies etc, as the set up costs are not worth it otherwise, this is where the DTG printing comes in to its own.Over 75% of our printing jobs are done through screen printing and you will be surprised how good it turns out.
Screen Printing is the method of creating a stencil (screen) to accuratley press layers of ink through to let each colour sit on your shirt one colour at a time. Screen printing is the best option to obtain full vibrancy of colours when printing on to dark shirts, where DTG above is good, it is better suited on lighter colour shirts.

Embroidered clothing

We have fully computerised machines that can turn almost any logo into and embroidery file, the cost of embroidery is determined by how many stitsches is in the design, more stitches equals longer to embroider on the machine which equals more staff time which in turns equals a higher cost. We have full in house digitising service, 24 hours shift in operation, we can embroider Polo shirts, sweatshirt,hats, caps, fleeces, tee shirts, almost anything we can stick an embroidery on.

Vinyl transfer

And lastly vinyl transfer digtal printing. This is the type of thing used on premiership football shirts, for sponsor prints or numbers and is a great way of producing images text and a variety of styles that may not be suitable with any other method. We only use the best print product and is washable up to 80 degrees for our super trans. Does it come off? no once its on, its on ( as long as you use normal wash conditions of course). The advantage of this method is if you need a small amount but with full colour printing then it gives you the option similar to DTG but allows it to be printed on many more types of garment, i.e. polyester, nylon, canvas etc etc and also your not limited to just light garments for vibrant results. These can also be done in Glitter print, Camouflage print and various other cool ideas.
