Screenprinting

Screen Printed tee shirt prices

Silk Screenprinting is an age-old printing method used to print all types of tee shirts, and polo shirts, hi vis jackets and clothing. We are capable of producing up to 500 screenprints per hour of personalised logos. Each colour of the printed logo needs a silk screen to be set up and has a special emulsion applied to it that we then "burn" your stencil through it to allow the colour of ink you need to be pushed through the silk screen and blend onto the shirt.
Screen printed tee shirts are cost-effective for larger orders, the more screen prints your order the lower the price, if quantities required are low say less than 40 items then digital printing is probably the best method especially if multiple colours are needed in the logo as screen print set ups charges are needed for each colour in the logo as each colour needs a seperate silk screen to be set up.

The best value for money comes in when the quantity of items reaches around 90 or 100 garments. For example we can supply and screen print 100 tee shirts for £1.99 based on a 1 colour screen print to a white tee shirt and can even deliver the very next day. We have bulk offers for 100, 200 500 and 1000 cheap screenprinted tee shirts with next day delivery or hi vis vests, polo tops, with screen print discounts and promotions running all the time, give us a call to find out the up to date prices.

DOWNSIDES are, expensive for small runs of garments and each colour needs a screen charge, UPSIDES are, really cost effective on high numbers, as low as 40p per colour.

Set up charge ? Yes each screen per colour is charged sad    Reset up charge ? when returning for more , yes but at lower costs smiley

What do we need from you to screenprint ? (apart from cash laugh) we need a good quality logo in these formats. .eps, .pdf, .ai, or ,cdr to the latest versions. As a last resort a good high resolution .jpg or .png. Please note word, excel, or publisher documents will not work well.

If your supplied artwork is a useable format then only standard set up of the screen applies, around £25.00 per screen. If your supplied artwork is not suitable or high quality, we offer a redraw service priced on sight of artwork usually around £15 - £30.00. It is worth taking advantage of our redraw service which some companies charge hundreds of pounds for as once we have redrawn it to a professional standard, we send you a perfect copy of the eps or cdr , ai file which you can use to give to any other professional print companies for other items, like letterheads, signage, vehicle graphics, without incurring further redraws.

Can I have a sample of my screenprint logo done first ? yes but this will be very expensive due to us having to set up the machine which is used to running up to 500 garments per hour to print just one. Minimum of £100 to £150.00 is not usual. We do however have samples from other jobs we could post to you for a small fee which can be refunded when you place your order with us.

Can Pantone standard colours be done with my logo ?
yes we can match pantone references with screen printing but be aware different coloured garments can alter the exact shading very slightly as it isnt the same printing pantones to textiles as it is to white paper. This is standard in the industry but our operators will match as near as possible by human eye. If in any doubt please order a sample before production.
Will my custom logo be perfectly straight on every garment and in the exact same position ? in short, the answer is probably not, the long answer and explaination as to why textiles cant be printed exact each time (even companies like Adidas and nike have the same issues) is explained at the bottom of this page below and also here

**please note screen printing is not achievable for items such as quilted or padded items, some dye rich items like polyester sublimated sports garments, that ink from the garment can soak through over time into the print but we will advise you accordingly. We may use sublimation or digital printing as an alternative to screen printing to meet production deadlines if you need a specific type please let us know.

OVER or UNDER runs in screenprinting. If we are Screenprinting your clothing, we reserve the right to under run or overrun up to 5% of quantity. This can also apply if items are damaged during the screen process. Translated this means, if you order 100 garments to be screenprinted by us and 1 garment gets damaged in the process, then we may not be able to re print a new item if it is out of stock to meet the deadline in time, so could not hold "the screen" and re set the machine when the item is due in, so in this case we would refund or adjust the order amount and charge only the amount we have sucessfully printed. If the damage is slight we would include this in your order as a "free" item, though not top quality. If you have a specific amount required for screen printing most customers tend to over order to accounts for any mishaps.

Digital Vinyl Transfer Printing
*please see important information regarding tolerances of logo positions here

Sublimation tee shirt printing prices

Our digital vinyl print process is suitable for applying full colour or single colour prints to most items and we only use the best transfer materials that will stay on even after rigorous washing time after time. Most of our transfers can be washed at a 60 or 80 degrees but check with us first. DOWNSIDES are , more expensive then sceenprinting on larger runs, UPSIDES are lower set up costs, cheaper for smaller runs.
The maximum size for printing transfers is 450mm wide and length up to 1 metre. Suitable for small to medium quantities and produced in full colour with shading and repro as accurate as cmyk printing allows. Pantone matching is possible if pantones numbers are supplied, but without pantones the print will be as whatever your supplied file looks and prints. Digital Vinyl printing on to branded items such as Tee Shirts, Bags, Sweaters, Hats, Caps and Jackets is possible at low cost but with fast turn round for tight deadlines. Most of our textile printing vinyls can be washed at up to 60 degress though please check first.

Can Pantone standard colours be done with my digital printed  logo ? yes we can match most pantone references with screen printing but be aware logos supplied by you in .jpg style format will only print as the colour laid out in the file, and all monitors display colours differently. If you supply an industry format like eps or vector then our operators will match as close as required but be aware some coloured garments can alter the exact chading very slightly as it isnt the same printing pantones to textiles as it is to white paper. This is standard in the industry but our operators will match as near as possible by human eye. If in any doubt please order a sample before production.

Sublimation Custom Printing
*please see important information regarding tolerances of logo positions here

Sublimation printing is similar to the digital transfer "vinyl" print method above but instead of sitting on a transfer material and heat pressed onto the garment, the ink is "sublimated" heat pressed into the garment. DOWNSIDES are !  only white or light coloured special sublimation polyester shirts can be sublimation printed. UPSIDES are ! brilliant full colour rich graphics, with a non exsistent feel, lower set up costs as you dont have to pay for silk screens.

White polyester garments are perfect for custom printing with sublimation, but other colours like light grey tees, yellows, sky blues and pinks could be used, taking into consideration that the colours in your logo may be distorted by the colours in the garment. Sublimation printing can be done on cups, mouse mats, phone cases and many other items not just textiles. We recommend sublimated garments to only be washed at 40 degrees.

Can Pantone standard colours be done with my sublimated logo ? yes we can match pantone references with sublimation printing and it comes out great on WHITE garments, but be aware different coloured garments can alter the exact shading very slightly as it isnt the same printing pantones to textiles as it is to white paper. All monitors display colours differently so if you supply a type of file like a jpg that is not an industry vector format, we have little control over how it prints though it is usually very close as to the screen.
