Safety footwear limited warranty 

Here at Hivis.co.uk, our brands of safety footwear we sell all have a degree of limited warranty which covers manufacturing defects and workmanship when used under normal conditions for which the boot is intended. We will repair, replace or issue a fair and reasonable credit (in part pro-rated) at our discretion any item that fails these criteria. 

The implication of any safety footwear limited warranty / guarantee is for up to maximum six months from the date of purchase and any defect in general would have to be proven inherent via consultation the manufacturer. If the defect is not proven to be inherent then no claim would be proven, and further discussion may take place at our discretion.

The conditions below generally need to be met.
The boots have been worn for the type of usage they were manufactured and sold for for . i.e. a pair of budget basic leather boots designed for mostly warehouse and basic dry wear for basic safety, has not been used excessively in wet/dusty/chemical or otherwise strenuous conditions such as constant erosion with sand or other outside abrasives and or chemical agents.

The boots (if leather especially) as it is a natural product have been cared for according to manufacturers instructions, with regard for cleaning or creams and polishes and not been overly wet then dried to quickly or dried un naturally (e.g. on a radiator or heater etc). The boots havent been exposed to any outside stresses not intended for the rating of the footwear.

A valid receipt for purchase can be provided.

The person requesting the evaluation is the person who purchased the boots.

Please note returns outside our 14 days returns period shall be the liabilty of the customer, and the boots once returned can be evaluated by us or the manufacturer within 28 days and a decision made on the criteria set out above. If it is decided the claim is not covered by the limited warranty as specified above it is the responsibility of the buyer to collect the boots from us or we can charge a nominal cost charge for return. In this regard it is advisable in the first instance to send any images of perceived defects etc in case we can arrange refunds/credit etc without the need for you to return the boots to us at your cost.

Any refund or credit against defective safety footwear is limited to 1 style/type only and 1 refund/credit, if the same style and type of footwear is purchased again and used under the same conditions, only 1 is eligible for refund.

Any customer who has a credit account, the account must be in good standing without outstanding balances for us to entertain any claim for defective goods.

None of your statutory rights are affected by this limited warranty, and no implication is implied to affect any other guarantee.
